O’TREE (Under an Australian Sky)
O tree, when I saw thee,
Branches departed and winds reacted.
Solo against the sky, flanked against the earth.
Watching over a forgotten harvest…
You brave it all, a silent call
Protector for centuries, to maintain your duty.
Men have aged and gone, yet you have remained and borne
A beauty of timeless stature, a true wonder of nature.
