34. CHARMAINE’S CANCER
Hi everyone! Thank you ever so much for your responses on my femininity poll!
I’m going to post more responses here in a bit, but first I wanted to take some womanly time off my busy clock to share with you a story of a Singaporean 4-year old girl who comes from a single parent family and her illness.
Her name’s Charmaine and you can read all about her plight here, but I wanted to ask all of you, my peeps and peepettes to spare some time to read about this girl and donate as much as you want to her cause.
Charmaine has a rare cancer and her chances of survival are low but her feisty mum isn’t giving up.
Doctors in Singapore have advised that Charmaine seek treatment in New York but that to do that, Charmaine and her mother have to fork out USD$350,000 as a deposit. That’s not even the cost of the treatment, let me tell ya!
Now while I could go on and on about the horrible standards of healthcare around the world, I’m going to shut my trap for once and urge everyone reading this blog to spread Charmaine’s story and to help if you can.
